These terms govern all shipments tendered to World Ex Ltd. ("World Ex", "we", "us"). By handing a parcel to us for shipment or using the World Ex website at worldexpost.com, you ("you", "sender", or "customer") agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Definitions
- Shipment means a parcel, document, or item tendered to us for delivery.
- Sender means the person or entity presenting the shipment.
- Recipient means the addressee of the shipment at the destination country.
- Waybill or tracking code means the unique identifier assigned to each shipment.
- Declared value means the value of the shipment contents declared by the sender at drop-off.
2. Scope of service
World Ex provides cross-border postal and parcel services from Canada to Armenia and Georgia. We act as a consolidator and forwarder, using carrier and local delivery partners to complete delivery. Service availability, transit times, and pricing are subject to change without notice.
3. Prohibited and restricted items
The following items may not be shipped through our service:
- Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, aerosols, and compressed gases.
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives, or replicas thereof.
- Illegal drugs, narcotics, or paraphernalia.
- Cash, coins, negotiable instruments, and precious metals in bulk.
- Live animals and plants.
- Perishable food without prior written arrangement.
- Loose lithium batteries (only permitted when installed in a device).
- Counterfeit goods, stolen property, or items whose import is prohibited by the destination country's customs or other laws.
- Any other item prohibited by applicable Canadian or destination-country law.
If a shipment is found to contain a prohibited item, we may refuse it, abandon it, surrender it to authorities, or return it to the sender at the sender's expense. We accept no liability for prohibited items.
4. Sender's warranties
By tendering a shipment, you represent and warrant that:
- You are the owner of the contents, or have authority from the owner to ship them.
- The contents are accurately described and the declared value is truthful.
- The shipment does not contain prohibited items.
- The shipment is properly packaged to withstand normal handling in international transit.
- You have provided accurate recipient contact information.
5. Packaging
Packaging is the sender's responsibility unless our packaging service is used. Inadequate packaging is grounds to refuse a shipment or to exclude the contents from any claim for damage. Fragile items must be clearly labelled and are shipped at the sender's risk unless insurance is purchased.
6. Customs, duties, and taxes
Shipments are subject to customs inspection on both sides of the border. It is the sender's responsibility to accurately describe contents on the customs declaration. Any duties, taxes, or fees assessed by the destination country are the recipient's responsibility and are payable on delivery.
If customs holds, refuses, or destroys a shipment, World Ex is not liable beyond refund of any undelivered portion of the shipping fee. We will reasonably cooperate with customs requests but make no guarantees of clearance.
7. Pricing and payment
Pricing is based on weight, dimensions, declared value, and destination. Quotes are estimates unless confirmed at drop-off. Payment is due in full at drop-off unless otherwise agreed.
8. Delivery
Transit times are estimates, not guarantees. We are not liable for delays caused by weather, customs holds, strike action, war, pandemic, civil unrest, or other events outside our reasonable control. The recipient may be required to present identification at delivery. If the recipient cannot be reached, the shipment is held at a local depot; repeated failed delivery attempts may result in return to sender at the sender's expense.
9. Insurance and declared value
Unless the sender purchases optional insurance at drop-off, our liability for loss or damage is limited to the lesser of the shipment's declared value or CAD $100 per shipment. Insurance must be purchased at or before drop-off and covers the declared value up to the insured amount.
Insurance does not cover consequential, indirect, or sentimental damages, nor items whose value cannot be documented with a receipt or equivalent proof.
10. Claims
To file a claim, contact us at info@worldexpost.com within 14 days of delivery or expected delivery. Claims must include:
- Your tracking code.
- A description of the loss or damage.
- Photographs of damaged contents and original packaging (for damage claims).
- Proof of value, such as receipts or invoices.
We will investigate and respond within a reasonable time. Claims filed more than 30 days after delivery may be denied.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any single shipment — whether in contract, tort, statute, or otherwise — is limited to the insured amount or, if no insurance was purchased, CAD $100. In no event are we liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or emotional distress.
12. Right of inspection
We and the carriers we use reserve the right to open and inspect any shipment without notice, at the sender's risk, for reasons of security or customs compliance.
13. Refunds
Shipping fees are refundable only if the shipment is cancelled before it leaves our facility. Once in transit, shipping fees are non-refundable except as provided under the insurance or claims terms above.
14. Privacy
Your personal information is handled per our Privacy policy.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be brought in the courts of Ontario, unless applicable consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
16. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Continued use of our services after changes means you accept them.
